The RnB beauty Rihanna is from the Caribbean and was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in Saint Michael, Barbados on February 20th, 1988.

Her parents, Ronald and Monica Fenty have two younger sons, Rorrey and Rajad Fenty.Rihanna's mom is a native of the South American country of Guyana. Her father, from Barbados, is Barbadian and Irish.

She was 'discovered' in 2003, and released Music of the Sun, her debut album, on August 30, 2005 in the United States.

Music of the Sun got up to number 10 on the Billboard's 200. Not bad for a first album.

As of 2009, the album is certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. Some people gave the album received mixed reviews. But her fans liked it good enough to give it gold status.

In June 2007 she released Good Girl Gone Bad. And as of this writing she has had 8 hit singles on that album (what do the critics think about that?).

Her number one hit "Umbrella" features Jay-Z. The folks in England and the UK liked it. It stayed the number one single there for 10 weeks. That was longer than any other hit in England since 1994 when Wet Wet's "Love Is All Around" stayed at number one for 15 weeks.

Rhianna's other hits, "Shut Up and Drive" and "Don't Stop The Music" were just as popular as "Umbrella". "Don't Stop the Music" was at number 3 on BillBoard's Hot 100. And, in some countries, it went all the way to number one.

She believes in helping out and giving back. She started her Believe Foundation in 2006. It helps terminally ill children.

She performs for charity events and Gucci chose her as the spokesmodel for their first UNICEF ad campaign.

Chris Brown, Her Leading Man...

Chris Brown was born Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989). He was born and raised in Tappahannock, Virginia, to Joyce Hawkins and Clinton Brown.

Brown made his recording debut in late 2005 with the self titled album, "Chris Brown". He was only 16 years old.

The album featured the hit single "Run It!". This hit made it to number one on the BillBoard Hot 100 list.

Chris Brown was the first male recording artist to have his debut single to top the chart!

The album has sold over two million copies in the US and went double Platinum.

Chris' second studio album was titled "Exclusive". It was released in November 2007 and has since gone platinum. On that one he had two successful singles. One of them was his second U.S. number one hit. That was "Kiss Kiss". It featured T-Pain.

The other one, "With You", got as high as number two on the BillBoard Hot 100.

The man then released a deluxe version of his album called the The Forever Edition.

Everybody remembers the first single off of it, "Forever". It got to number two on BillBoard's Hot 100.

Chris Brown started dancing when he was 2 years old. And, like a lot of other folks, he started singing in the choir in his church.

When he was young he listened to and was influenced by the soul and RnB albums that his parents had. His mother encouraged him to become a singer.

It might explain some of the things that have recently happened, but from about the age of 7 to 13 it was a traumatic time for Chris.

He says he was really affected by what he called "domestic violence" his mother suffered at the hand of her boyfriend. Chris says that he still hates him to this day.

Chris also likes to help out and he donated $50,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital after his "Up Close & Personal" tour.

In 2008, he also helped the same hospital promote a Math-A-Thon for the community.

Breakin' up...?

No one, except Chris and Rihanna really know what happened, but on February 8, 2009, Rihanna and Chris were scheduled to perform at the 2009 Grammy Awards. They both had to cancel their apearances.

There were reports that there had been an argument and that Chris had been arrested.

Chris turned himself in to the LAPD and was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats.

But everyone later found out that there had been physical violence. Pictures were leaked to the press of Rihanna and they weren't pretty. But still, no one was talking publically about it.

The case is still on going, but just about 3 weeks after the bad press, these two got back together in Miami at P. Diddy's house. Chris called Rihanna on her 21st birthday to wish her happy birthday.

News paper reports say that "they're together again. They care for each other". Chris has been seeking help from spiritual leaders and his family.

He apparently really wants Rihanna to know how sorry he is and how much he loves her.

We can only wish them the best and hope they can work things out.
